Kelly & Associates wins accolades from state officials for 40 years of service

Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY) was honored by state officials recently for its 40 years of service in Maryland.

Representatives from the Maryland Department of Commerce including Secretary Mike Gill, Managing Director Greg Derwart, Senior Business Development Representative Tim Murphy and U.S. Representative Andy Harris (R-Md.) presented Francis X. Kelly and several members of the Kelly family with the Secretary’s Citation of Congratulations for outstanding service.

Formed in 1976 by Francis X. Kelly and his wife, Janet, in the basement of their Timonium, Md., home, the firm has grown into one of the region’s largest health insurance broker/administrators, which consists of subsidiaries that provide benefits, payroll and workforce management solutions.

Kelly is now the Chairman of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, and son Frank Kelly III serves as CEO of the KELLY companies. Sons John, David and Bryan are key executives in the business serving in chief roles as well as presidents of KELLY’s entities and divisions.

The Sparks, Md.-based firm serves more than 10,000 corporate clients and employs more than 450. It has regional offices in Rockville, Md., and Wilmington, Del.
