Lockton addresses impact of Trump White House on employer-sponsored health plans
Robert Reiff, President of Lockton Benefit Group, released a video highlighting some of the immediate changes to the U.S. employer-sponsored healthcare industry the firm expects following the election of Donald Trump as the next president, and Republicans maintaining a majority in Congress.
Trump and the Republican Party have opposed the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and a repeal of the ACA’s employer play-or-pay mandate seems inevitable, according to Lockton. However, Lockton’s experts advise caution, expecting prudent employers to continue their compliance with the ACA, including its reporting requirements.
